THE STORY

 

                                     Phil Hope is Managing Partner of Hope Development Partners, a real estate 

                                     company actively developing property in Phoenix and Fort Worth/Granbury, Texas.

 

                                      Phil’s real estate career began in the Beverly Hills office of Grubb & Ellis Company where he

                                     specialized in office leasing and sales.  He was invited to move into management and served                                        as Sales Manager of the South Bay office for Grubb & Ellis.  He then joined the

Office and Industrial division of Houston based Gerald Hines Interests and relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in charge of business development, project leasing, and new markets.  During Phil's tenure, a number of major office and retail projects were completed successfully by Hines in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Albuquerque.

 

Phil relocated to Phoenix, Arizona and formed Barker/Mashbury-Hope, Ltd. developing office and retail centers.  The firm developed regional headquarters facilities for Cigna Healthplan, Southwest Gas Corporation, and Liberty Mutual, as well as creating, naming and developing the signature downtown mixed-use project, The Scottsdale Waterfront™.  The 800,000 s.f. Nordstrom-anchored “Waterfront” is home to national leading retailers, restaurants, and luxury residential towers.  The Scottsdale Waterfront™ has evolved into a city-center and is a popular public gathering place and destination on the banks of the city's waterway in the heart of downtown Scottsdale.  The project has brought density to the area which is now realizing a surge in more re-development. The project has activated Old Town Scottsdale's local events, arts and entertainment experience.  It was constructed by a successor entity. 

 

Hope Development Partners was established in  2000.  The firm is currently active in Arizona and the Fort Worth/Granbury region.  The company is developing DeCordova Ranch, a 185-acre master planned residential community; Stonegate on Lake Granbury, a 40-unit luxury town home community (SOLD OUT 2015); and Cobblestone Court, a mid-priced bungalow style garden home sub-division (SOLD OUT 2015).  The company also created a custom home division and has built high-end luxury residences in Scottsdale and semi-custom product in the Fort Worth/Granbury region.

 

Phil has played a major role in the development, marketing and leasing of over a million square feet of commercial office and retail projects.  His portfolio of corporate, retail and lender clients include; Cigna Healthcare, Liberty Mutual, Southwest Gas, GMAC Credit, Aetna Life & Casualty, Mitsubishi Corp., Wells Fargo Credit, Mass. Mutual, Borders Books, TGI Friday’s, Cheesecake Factory, Tommy Bahama; and lenders Starwood Capital, Bank of Oklahoma, Liberty National Bank, Arizona Bank and Aldrich, Eastman & Waltch.  

 

Phil is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.  He resides in Phoenix and part-time in Texas!
